Article 11 of the Tel Aviv constitution which entitles Tel Aviv inhabitants to participate in the Jaffa municipal elections was repealed in a special ordinance issued by the Palestine government.
The Ordinance ended the controversy over the question whether Tel Aviv residents can vote in the Jaffa elections as was demanded by some of the leaders of the Tel Aviv population.
