New instructions concerning the Catholic policy in Palestine were issued by the Vatican, it was learned here following the departure for Jerusalem of Monsignor Robinson, the Vatican Visitor in Palestine.
Monsignor Robinson upon his return from Jerusalem recently reported to the Pope on conditions in the country. The Jewish Telegraphic Agency learns that Monsignor Robinson expressed dissatisfaction with the general position of the country and with the position of the religious question. The Catholic church sees no friction and has no anxiety concerning her interests in Palestine. It is understood that the Pope recommended to Monsignor Robinson to work for a peaceful understanding between the various communities in Jerusalem and to act with a view to maintaining a calm atmosphere.
