Much comment has been aroused in the Chicago press by the fact that the late Thomas Cusack, an Irishman, left $50,000 to Chicago Jewish Charities, while William N. Eisendrath, who left an estate valued at $1,000,000, $35,000 of which was left to charity, among the institutions being the Chicago Symphony Orchestra and the Art Institute, made no bequests to Jewish charities.
