Shuckburgh for Britain on Mandates Commission

Sir John Shuckburgh, head of the Middle Eastern department in the Colonial Office. who recently visited Palestine, is the accredited representative of the British Government at the session of the Permanent Mandates Commission of the Permanent Mandates Commission of the League of Nations.

He will be assisted by E. Mills, Assistant Chief Secretary of the Palestine Government who is now attending the Colonial Office Conference in London as a representative of Palestine.

Half of their quota of $12,000 was pledged by the Jewish community of Plainfied, N. J. at the opening of the drive for the United Palestine Appeal.

Englewood, N. J., will inaugurate its drive for $2,500 for the Appeal with a meeting this Sunday night.
