Objection to the proposed commercial agreement between Palestine and Syria were voiced by Palestine manufacturers.

The protest came to the surface in connection with the expected visit of the High Commissioner of Syria to negotiate a new agreement with the Palestine government introducing custom duties between Palestine and his country.

At a meeting of the Palestine Manufacturers’ Association it was decided to urge the Palestine government to reject this agreement.

The opinion was expressed that if the agreement goes into effect it will endanger the interests of Palestine industry.
