King Ferdinand Makes Bequest to Jewish Schools in Last Will

A bequest to Jewish schools is included in the last will of the deceased King Ferdinand. This action has deeply impressed the Jewish public. The Jewish newspapers. in their comments, praise the late King for his generosity.

At today’s session of Parliament the representatives of the Jewish, German and Hungarian minorities solemnly declared their unconditional loyalty to young King Mihai.

“Our great protector died,” says a manifesto issued by the Board of the Jewish Community of Bucharest. “He was the first,” the manifesto continues, “who recognized the sacrifices on the battlefield made by the Jewish citizens.
