The Canadian Jewish Eagle, published in Montreal, celebrated its twentieth anniversary and the Jubilee of Canadian Confederation, by issuing a special number in Hebrew, Yiddish and English.
The Jewish Eagle was founded in Montreal on August 30th, 1907. The present editor is H. Wolofsky. In an article entitled “Twenty Years Kanader Adler,” he traces the growth of the paper.
The celebration will include a concert under the direction of D. Dobkin, director of the Brooklyn Musical Society, which will be held September 11 at the Princess theatre. Mr. Lyon Cohen will act as chairman of the concert. The proceeds will be donated to various Jewish schools in the city. In the evening a banquet will be held. A. J. Freiman, of Ottawa, will preside at the banquet.
The Archive of the Jewish Telegraphic Agency includes articles published from 1923 to 2008. Archive stories reflect the journalistic standards and practices of the time they were published.
