The safety of the Jewish students in the Medical School of the University of Bucharest was apparently assured when an agreement on “disarmament” was reached.

At a meeting of the student body a decision was taken that neither the Jews nor the Romanian students may carry sticks while entering the school. The obvious reason to the “disarmament” was to avoid the recurrence of the pitched battles of which the school was the scene in recent weeks.
