Allots $32,000 Fund for This Purpose; 336 of 400 Arrested Persons Are Released (Jewish Telegraphic Agency)

The Roumanian government has set aside a fund of $32.000 to rebuild the synagogues in Grosswardein and Ciausenburg- destroyed during the anti-Jewish riots in Transylvanian cities last week.

It was learned today that the British #### will not make any pres entatiens to the Roumanian government in connection with the Treansylvanian excesses. it having been established that no Hritish subject was among the victims.

Concerning the incident with the British flag, it was brought out that a local storekeeper. a Roumanian Jew, hoisted the Union Jack in the hope that the British flag would keep away the rioters.

Dr. William Filderman, president of the Union of Roumanian Jews, in a statement issued today following his audience with the Regents Council declared that the members of the Council condemned in outspoken terms the barbaric acts committed in Oradea-mare. Cluj and Jassy and that he is convinced the government will take measures to punish those who are guilty.

Of the 400 persons arrested. 356 were released. Forty-four are still detained. Thirty-three of the srudents and other persons who actively participated in the riots are being court martialled on the charges of committing violence, phundering and stealing.
