A memorial service for the late Rabbi Zeri Peretz Chajes, Chief Rabbi of Vienna, will be held at the Free Synagogue House on February 1, under the auspices of the Zionist Organization of America.
Louis Lipsky will preside. Mrs. Rebekah Kohut will speak on “Chajes the Man;” Professor Salo Baron on “Chajes the Scholar;” Dr. J. Sonderling on “Chajes the Rabbi” and Rubis Brainin and Dr. Stephent S. Wise on “Chajes the Zionist.” Tributes to Dr Chajes from a number of distinguished American Jews will be read. The music will be in charge of A. W. Binder.
