Quota of $500,000 Announced at Dinner to Lipsky and Freiman (Jewish Telegraphic Agency)

A joint campaign for $500,000 for the Jewish National Fund and the Keren Hayesod will be launched in Canada in March, according to an announcement made last night at a dinner given in honor to Louis Lipsky. president of the Zionist Organization of America, and A. J. Freiman, president of the Canadian Zionist Organization. The dinner was given by the National Council of the Canadian Zionist Organization at the Mount Royal Hotel.

Dr. Schmanrya Levin will come to Canada to tour the country in the interest of the campaign which will open in Montreal it was announced. Mrs. A. J. Freiman, president of the Canadian Hadassah. A. Levin, Dominion Chairman of the Keren Hayesod and R. A. Darwin. Dominion Chairman of the Jewish National Fund, have been elected to head the joint campaign.

Mr. Freiman, in his address, declared that American Zionists can have full confidence in the policy of the British Government. The experience of Canadians has proved that thought Great Britain may appear slow in her procedure, the Government will carry out her pledge regarding Palestine. After listening to the statement of the Right Honorable L. C. M. S. Amery. British Secretary of State for Dominious, there is no longer any doubt of the sincerely and intentions of the British Government with regard to the final outcome of our work in Palestine. Mr. Freiman said.
