Prof. Adolph E. Worms, famous Russian Jewish jurist, is one of the counsel for defense in the trial of 50 Russian and 3 Germans which opened before the Soviet Supreme Court in the House of Columns, on charges of attempting to destroy the coal industry of Russia in the Donetz coal basin.

Prof. Worms was appointed to defend the accused Germans. In his impressive opening address, Prof. Worms demanded that a number of witnesses be called from Germany to prove the innocence of the men he is defending.

Three Jewish engineers are among the accused. Gigori Roginsky, a Jewish attorney, is assistant to prosecuting attorney Krylenko.
