(Jewish Telegraphic Agency)

Scores of Jewish families are still in dire need as a result of the earthquake devastation in Philipopolis, one of the cities affected.

Representatives of the community who came to the capital asked the correspondent of the Jewish Telegraphic Agency here to present their plea to the American Jewish Joint Distribution Committee to grant them long term loans at low interest, in order that they may be able to rebuild the houses and synagogues. The aid given up to now is like a drop in the ocean, they stated.

Many families are compelled to roam about the streets for lack of housing facilities, many children are wandering about without shoes and with little clothing. They are suffering from hunger.
