Chicago Board Accepts Gift of Planetarium

Formal acceptance of the offer of Max Adler, former vice-president of Sears Roebuck & Company of $500,000 for a planetarium on Chicago’s lake front was made by the South Park Commissioners yesterday, according to an announcement by E. J. Kelly, president of the Board.

Work on the planetarium, which will be in charge of a demonstrator whose salary will be paid for five years by Mr. Adler, will be started not later than Jan. 1, 1929, according to the agreements reached yesterday.
