Joseph Strumza, Jewish member of the Haifa District Court, was dismissed from his post by Lord Plumer, the High Commissioner.

The dismissal came after an inquiry commission reported that Strumza had improperly signed a judicial document.

An appeal to the Colonial Office has been made by Strumza against the High Commissioner’s decision.
