Rabbi Elis M. France, Secretary of the Chief Rabbinate in Salonica, has accepted a call to be Rabbi in Amsterdam, and Rabbi Mordecai D. Saias, Secretary of the Salonica Beth Din has accepted a call to be Rabbi in Antwerp.
Both Rabbis desired to remain at their posts, but the Salonica Jewish community is too poor to provide them with positions adequate to their abilities.
