Says Zionist Executive Responsible for Infringement (Jewish Telegraphic Agency)

An association for the enforcement of Sabbath rest in the Jewish communities in Palestine in accordance with Jewish tradition was formed in Tel Aviv last night at a special conference called to consider ways and means to protect the Sabbath.

Forty delegates of Tel Aviv and twenty-five from the Jewish colonies participated in the deliberations. The proposal to form a lay society for the protection of the Sabbath was made by M. Dizengoff, former mayor of Tel Aviv.

In resolutions adopted the conference called on all communities to enforce a Sabbath ordinance similar to the one promulgated by the municipality of Tel Aviv, urges all merchants not to unload goods from the customs and railway stations on Saturday and insists on the release of Jewish officials from their duties on Saturday.

The conference declared that the Zionist Executive is responsible for infringement of Sabbath observance in its colonies. A central committee was chosen.
