Senor Paralhos, Brazilian Consul at Bremen, is now in a Bremen hospital where he was taken in an unconscious state because anti-Semitic ringleaders did not know of the adage that appearances are often misleading.
Senor Paralhos was attacked several nights ago in one of the streets in Bremen by a group of Hakenkreuzler who believed him to he a Jew. Of late Bremen streets were unsafe during the night time for all brunettes who may be mistaken for Jews. The youth who was arrested for attacking the Consul pleaded to the police that he had carried out the order of the organization which he has sworn to obey. It is predicted here that the outrage committed on the Consul will have diplomatic consequences.
The same evening a score of persons who appeared to the Hakenkreuzler to be Jews were attacked in the streets of Bremen.
During the Tolstoi Centenary celebration a disturbance was caused by a group of rowdies who attacked one of the speakers, Prof. Lessing, a Jew. Some of the persons arrested by the police frankly admitted that the attack was carried out at the order of the National Social Party.
