Lord Melchett Visits Canadian Cities

Lord Melchett arrived in Montreal today after visiting his extensive mining interests in Northern Ontario. While here Lord Melchett is conferring with Asher Pierce and other leading Montreal Jewish business men in regard to promoting Palestinian industries. He leaves tonight for New York, but it is expected that he will return to Canada before returning to London.

The former Sir Alfred Mond is in terested in the Mond Nickel Company in Canada. He stated he was very much interested in the promotion of closer ties between Canada and the British Empire. In an interview in Toronto, speaking of the immigration question now being widely discussed in Canadian circles, he expressed himself in favor of Canada having more British immigrants, “because we must keep Canada British.”
