Louis Marshall to Speak in Albany Sunday

Louis Marshall will be the principal speaker at the formal dedication on Sunday, Oct. 7 of the Albany Jewish Community Center’s new addition.

Mr. Marshall will be introduced by Judge Isadore Bookstein, of Albany.

The dedication will open for people of Albany and this section of New York state the new swimming pool, auditorium, gymnasium, bowling alleys and assembly rooms which have been in the process of construction for over a year in the new addition which represents an expenditure of $250,000.

On Monday night, October 8, the center will be host to the civic and fraternal leaders of the city. The program will continue throghout the week. Speakers who will address the gatherings during the week include Dr. S. Margoshes, editor of “The Day,” and Dr. Will Durant.

LUNCHEON TO ALLENBY POSTPONED TO OCTOBER 30

The luncheon for Viscount Allenby arranged for today by Nathan Straus, Judge Julian W. Mack and Dr. Stephen S. Wise has been postponed due to a change of plans of the guest of honor.

The luncheon will be held at the Lawvers Club. New York. Tuesday, October 30th, at one o’clock.
