The allocation of credits to the Jewish colonies for the year 1928-1929 was announced by the Soviet Government and the sum of 315,000 roubles appropriated for the first quarter. Of this sum, 182,000 roubles was appropriated for Biro-Bidjan.
The budget for 1928-1929 provides 125,000 roubles in unredeemable credits for the building of roads and schools and for medical aid: 190,000 in redeemable credits for houses, seed and livestock. In unredeemable credits, Biro-Bidian will get 102,000 roubles, White Russia 10,000, Ukraine 7,000. Caucasus, Dagestan and Usbekistan 2,000 each; in redeemable credits 8,000 roubles will go to Biro-Bidjan, 25,000 to White Russia. 10,000 to Crimea, 30,000 to Cherson. 28,000 to Krivoy Rog and 7,000 each to Zaporojye and Mariupol.
