Government Disperses Illegal Meeting of Medical Students (Jewish Telegraphic Agency)

A new campaign of anti-Jewish violence is being planned by a group of anti-Semitic students, it was discovered yesterday when, by an order of the Military Attorney General, the authorities dispersed an illegal meeting of Roumanian students of the Medical College.

In reply to a memorandum submitted to the government by Dr. William Filderman, drawing attention to these plans, the assurance was given by the authorities that all necessary measures have been taken to guarantee peace and order.

WARBURG URGES SUPPORT FOR ALBERT OTTINGER

Urging support for Albert Ottinger for the Governorship of New York, Felix M. Warburg stated:

“When asked why I am for Albert Ottinger for Governor, I said that my interest in this Republican Candidate dated back many years. With great interest I have watched his development, his communal zeal, his high citizenship. I was especially glad to see so many people from all walks of life honor him at the Hotel Astor on his fiftieth birth day. He set a high standard as Attorney General and I am sure that his fine record of the past will be surpassed as Governor.”
