The Hungarian Government does not intend taking any steps to prohibit the Shechita in Hungary, the Orthodox Jewish Chancellory here has been informed by the Government.

The Chancellory had made representations to the Government in connection with a series of memoranda presented recently to the Government by the Hungarian Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, urging the enactment of a law to make the stunning of animals compulsory before slaughtering.
