Increase Duties to Aid Palestine Industries

The import duty on cement, chocolate, spirits and soup was increased, according to an announcement in the Official Gazette. Other products, also produced in the country, have been added to the list of increased duties.

The purpose is to protect home industries, as these products are manufactured in the country.
