The celebration of the twenty-fifth anniversary of the forming of the congregation and the seventh anniversary of the functioning of the ladies’ auxiliary of the Tree of Life Synagogue in Uniontown, Pa., was held on Sunday. A dinner was simultaneously tendered to Rabbi Jacob Leibowitz, whose resignation will take effect January 1, 1929.
Rabbi Leibowitz has resigned to accept a position as national field director of the Union of Orthodox Congregations of America.
