Nahalal, the leading Zionist colony, was in festive dress to receive Felix M. Warburg, Max Warburg and Dr. Chaim Weizmann who visited the colony on Tuesday, April 23.
Replying to the greetings of the settlers, Dr. Weizmann and Mr. Warburg delivered addresses.
Dr. Weizmann stated that the Jewish village in Palestine is the basis of all Jewish hopes for the country. “We shall succeed if backed by all Jewry. The Warburgs can help us unite Jewry for Palestine. The technical questions concerning the constitution of the Jewish Agency will surely not prevent its establishment,” the president of the World Zionist Organization said.
Felix M. Warburg stated that he was happy to see a flourishing Jewish agriculture in Palestine. Palestine, he stated, interests all Jewry. All those who come here are influenced by the upbuilding work. “I admire what I saw here and am confident of the country’s future,” he stated, concluding with the jocular remark: “I am afraid that in the future there will be no candidates for the non-Zionist seats on the Jewish Agency as all non-Zionists will become Zionists.”
