Brown University authorities failed to comment on the statement from national headquarters of Pi Lambda Phi fraternity which said that the incident at the university whether Jews may organize a local chapter of the fraternity was considered closed.

The national headquarters’ statement issued in New York was made following the announcement of Dean Otis E. Randall of the university that Jewish members of the fraternity had resigned after the authorities had discovered the formation of a Pi Lambda Phi fraternity at Brown. The members at Brown, however, will retain privileges of the organization.
