A bill for the prohibition of the schechita in Lichtenstein was taken to a vote today in the Diet and defeated by a majority of 11 to 4.
The sponsors of the bill, mainly anti-Semitic organizations, declared that they have not given up the fight and that they intend to ask for a referendum on the issue.
