Aaron Benjamin Goes to Europe As Hias Director

Aaron Benjamin, Vice-President of the Hebrew Sheltering and Immigrant Aid Society of America, sailed for Europe on the steamer Leviathan to assume the position of Hias Commissioner there. Mr. Benjamin will relieve Dr. James Bernstein who has been the commissioner for several years and who is returning to this country to resume his medical practice.

Mr. Benjamin, who is a New York lawyer, has been identified with Hias for nearly ten years. He was a member of the Hias-Ica-Emigdirect delegation to South America.

Mr. Benjamin will have his office in Paris where the European headquarters of Hias are located.
