The annual subsidy granted by the Prussian government to the Jewish communities was included in this year’s budget by a vote of the Diet yesterday.
The amount voted this year as in previous years, was 600,000 marks.
Mrs. Estelle M. Sternberger, Executive Secretary of the National Council of Jewish Women, will sail on the steamer “Leviathan” on May 25th, to attend the World Conference of Jewish Women which will meet at Hamburg on June 4th and 5th.
Mrs. Sternberger, who is a member of the Executive Committee of the World Conference of Jewish Women will represent the National Council of Jewish Women Mrs. Sternberger will also visit Poland and Russia in order to make a study of Jewish Women’s activities in these countries, particularly in Warsaw and Moscow.
