Convinced that the authorities were adamant in their decision to prevent further anti-Jewish riots the nationalist students decided to desist from holding further street demonstrations. Following the strict measures of precaution taken by the police no new student demonstrations were held Saturday or Sunday. The strike of the nationalist students at the university continues.

The Sunday morning edition of the Lemberg Yiddish daily, “Der Morgen,” was confiscated by the authorities for the publication of a photograph showing the ruins of the Jewish high school wrecked by the students. The Friday morning edition of the “Kurier Poranny.” rabid anti-Semitic organ. was confiscated for the publication of an inflammatory article against the Jewish population.

The Jewish students’ organization here issued an appeal to the Jewish population to raise a fund for the reconstruction of the Jewish Student Home wrecked in the riots.
