A drastic cut to the extent of 25% in the budgets of all Zionist activities in Palestine, including the Hadassah medical work, was said to be contemplated as the result of advice received here from American Zionist leadership.

The cut in the budgets is to become effective July 1 and is to be in force until the end of the financial year. The reason given for this step was said to be the inadequate income this year derived from the United Palestine Appeal collections in the United States. The measure will bring about a grave disarrangement in all Zionist activities in Palestine, it is feared.
