Greater opportunities of employment for Palestine Jews will be available soon, according to plans formulated by the Palestine government, states a report in the Hebrew daily, “Ha’Aretz.”

The plans concern the public works contemplated by the government in various parts of the country and have particular reference to the construction of the Haifa harbor. Of the number of workers who will be employed, 35% is to be reserved for Jews. Two quarrying groups will be organized in the Haifa harbor construction work, a Jewish and a non-Jewish group. This will be in the nature of an experiment. It was stated that the Zionist Executive proposed the allocation of 50% for Jewish labor.
