Plan to Colonize 5,000 Armenians in Syria

A plan to colonize a number of Armenians in Syria is being furthered by the government. Five thousand Armenians will be settled between Antioch and Alexandretta on land provided by the government. Another 3,000 are expected to settle in the fertile Bekaa plain of the Lebanon.

Benno Kohn, president and one of the founders of Hochschild, Kohn & Co., Inc., department store, Baltimore, Md., died at his home in that city. He was a native of Baltimore.
