Some immigrants who have applied for visas to America would have to wait 100 years before they would be reached under the Russian quota. Under the Polish quota they would have to wait 40 years.

A report issued by the State Department yesterday regarding the status of applications under the quotas of various countries states that applications for visas by prospective immigrants in many countries are so numerous that most of them will never be reached under the present quotas during the lifetime of the applicants.
