A new relief committee has been established under the direction of the Vaad Leumi, National Council of Palestine Jews, following the transfer of the relief work among the sufferers in the disturbances carried out by the Jewish Agency. The executive of the new committee is composed of Rabbi Ostrowsky, Isaac Eliashar, leading merchant, Mrs. Norman Bentwich, wife of the Attorney General, Rabbi Blau, Mr. Zaavi representing the Agudath Israel, Dr. Yaski of the Hadassah and Haim Solomon, acting head of the Vaad Leumi during the outbreak.
Arrangements have been made to prevent the interruption of the food supply to the refugees during the transfer.
