A sentence of two years imprisonment and the payment of a fine of £50 plus the costs of the trial was pronounced on Sheik Taleb Markah, on trial in the Jerusalem District Court as one of the chief instigators of the Hebron massacre in which sixty-six Jews were killed and scores injured.
