A request that the City of Montreal furnish a site for another hospital was made by a delegation headed by Joseph Cohen, representing the Jewish Incurable Hospital and the Hebrew Consumptive Aid. The aim of the institution is to build another Jewish hospital in addition to the general hospital already provided for, which would be for incurables only.

The hospital committee will seek to raise the sum of $100,000 and have asked the City of Montreal to provide a site. The association will, it was stated, also ask the Provincial Government for a subsidy.

Plans for the erection of a synagogue in Santa Barbara, California, have been adopted. A building costing about $15,000 will be erected.
