Eugene Meyer, former director of the War Finance Corporation and a Farm Loan Commissioner, personal friend of President Hoover and well-known California business man is being prominently mentioned here as the next United States ambassador to Germany to succeed Dr. Jacob Gould Schurman, who has just resigned.
