That Jewish life is lacking in leadership material at the present time and that this lack will have to be supplied from among the youth was the assertion made by Dr. Israel Goldstein, President of Young Judea, national Jewish youth organization, at the opening last night, of the annual midyear conference of Jewish youth leaders at Temple Ansche Chesed, 100th Street and West End Avenue.

Dr. Goldstein, who is Rabbi of Temple B’nai Jeshurun, opened the three-day conference to discuss problems of American Jewish youth, which is attended by Jewish youth leaders from all parts of the country. His address reviewed the present situation in Jewish life and the necessity of training the youth to a feeling of communal responsibility.
