Feisal Darwish, leader of the rebels and Ibn Saud’s implacable foe, is seeking refuge in Iraq or Syria since he was obliged to quit Koweit where he has been hardpressed by Ibn Saud’s forces. Iraq has refused Darwish a refuge but his application to enter Syria is being considered by the French High Commissioner at Beirut.
Saud in endeavoring to break up possible enemy forces has notified the Sultan Atrash, a famous Druse rebel leader, to evacuate the zone of the Transjordan-Hedjaz boundary. The Arab press reports that this is due to an alleged friendship between Atrash and King Abdullah of Transjordania.
