The trial of the seven Safed Arabs who attacked and burned the Jewish orphanage during the riots and injured nine orphans and two others, is continuing at Haifa. Dr. Jacob Epstein, a Hadassah physician, a Jewish constable, and Captain Faraday are among the witnesses for the prosecution but the chief accusers are the orphans themselves who, recognizing their assailants, testified how the pogromists shouted “slaughter the Jews.” One of the orphans, Isaac Toister, fourteen, turned completely grey.
