Louis H. Sawyer, assistant state attorney general of Massachusetts, has taken the initiative in calling an inter-denominational conference of all religious bodies in Boston to institute a joint protest movement against the persecution of religion in Soviet Russia. Mr. Sawyer has already conferred with a number of Jewish members of the legislature about possible action in the House.
