The State Senate today ratified the nominations sent in by Governor Larson whereby a second term is given in their respective offices to Judge Louis R. Freund, of the Second District Court of Newark, and Major Isaac Schoenthal, of Orange, as a member of the Essex Country Tax Board. Judge Freund is active in a number of Jewish communal bodies and is actively identified with the Brotherhood of Temple Sharey Tefilo, of East Orange. It is interesting to note that both officials were renominated despite the fact that they are Democrats and Governor Larson is a Republican.
