Lea Fich and Hava Halpern have been sentenced to six months in prison and deportation for having participated in a Communist demonstration on May Day. Joseph Hershenbaum, Mordecai Berditchevsky and Pua Alam# have been sentenced to 35 days in jail or a fine of $35 each for creating a disturbance when they were arrested on April 30.
