The State Department today denied to the Jewish Telegraphic Agency that the American counsul at Jerusalem had been asked to report on the conditions following the suspension of labor immigration to Palestine. The department indicated that no inquiry regarding the suspension of the labor schedule or the mission of Sir John Simpson, who has been appointed to study colonization and immigration in Palestine, has been directed to the consul there.
The denial followed a report from Jerusalem, Wednesday, that the American State Department had instructed the consul in Jerusalem to report fully on the suspension of immigration as well as on the activities of Sir John Simpson
