Levine Succeeds Judge Panken As President of American Ort

At a meeting of the Executive Committee of the American Ort held last night, Murray Levine was elected President, succeeding Judge Jacob Panken. In addition a new Steering Committee was selected consisting of Dr. Henry Moskowitz, Murray Levine, Louis Boudin and B. C. Vladek to cooperate with Howard S. Cullman and Paul Felix Warburg representing the Ort Reconstruction Fund.

Mr. Levine is a practicing lawyer of this city who has been identified with Jewish communal affairs for many years. He served as the first secretary of the Metropolitan League of the Young Men’s Hebrew Association. He was National President of the Zeta Beta Tau Fraternity for a number of years and has recently been President of the Ort Tool Supply Corporation, affiliated with the American Ort.
