With the financial aid of Daniel Guggenheim, the experiments which have been carried on for the past seven years by Professor Robert H. Goddard of Clark University, Worcester, Mass., to develop rockets for the purpose of exploring the atmosphere of extreme altitudes will be continued, according to an announcement by Clark University this week. The exact amount of Mr. Guggenheim’s contribution to this work has not been disclosed. It is hoped that this work will produce data which will be of practical value to aviation and to radio communication.
