Four young women from rural communities, chosen from a list submitted by the Department of Farm and Rural Work of the National Council of Jewish Women, are attending the Summer School of the Hebrew Union College at Cincinnati, through scholarships provided by the Alpha Epsilon Phi Sorority. The scholarships cover the expense of tuition and maintenance.
These young women will spend six weeks at the Hebrew Union College, in a course of instruction that includes Bible, Jewish history, Jewish literature and methods of religious school teaching. They have pledged to devote the knowledge and experience they gain through attendance at this course, to the advancement of Jewish educational activities in the rural districts.
