A request that the Polish government furnish credits for the establishment of orthodox cooperative banks was made of Premier Slawek today by a delegation from the Agudath Israel, orthodox organization, which waited on him. The deputation consisted of former deputy Levine, Rabbi Shapiro and ex-senator Mendelson.

While they stressed the serious economic situation of the Jews they also asked M. Slawek to modify the status of the rabbis. The Premier promised a satisfactory settlement.
